Meet Our Robots!

Our 2026 Robot: Claude

Introducing: Claude!
Claude was named after the late albino alligator. Featuring a hooded shooter with a turret capable of 400 degrees of rotation and on-the-move shooting, this robot was the most complex and conceptually challenging robot we have ever executed. With a swappable full-width intake and a spindexer, Claude could deliver a consistent 8 balls per second on target without worrying about durability issues. Our autonomous routines continued to shine, with a double swipe center auto that could beat top teams to the centerline.

Our 2025 Robot: Alcatraz

Introducing: Alcatraz! Our 100% student-designed, built, and programmed competition robot. Alcatraz possesses a one-stage elevator, a full-width funnel, and a modular intake. Our robot design allows us to be consistent and fast while being strategically flexible. Our reliability allows us to take advantage of our 19-point autonomous and automatic alignment, which gives us an edge over other teams.

Introducing… Phoenix, completely designed and fabricated by the SF UNITY team. Phoenix features a ground intake, indexer, and pivoting shooter that can double as a source intake. Phoenix also has a Limelight vision camera connected to the pivoting shooter for an auto-aiming feature to shoot from anywhere within our zone on the field. The team also opted for a Swerve drive base, increasing our robot’s speed and mobility on the field.

Our 2023 Robot

Meet Karl, Team 9038’s first robot! Karl’s named after the wonderful fog of San Francisco. Being SF UNITY, we wanted to embody San Francisco and become the iconic fog. This is a modification of the 2023 Everybot.
